It is surprising how many people never think to go abroad for their annual vacation. They suggest in a kind of superior way that there is so much to see in their own country that there is no need to go abroad. Whilst one can have some sympathy with this point of view it is sad, because the world is a huge place and there is so much to see that may become inaccessible in the future due to the high cost of travel, pollution, and politics.
